"UCW!  UCW!  UCW!"

Passion

"Backyard" wrestling is a passion.  The members of UCW have no reason for hurting themselves and each other other than a passion that they have for hardcore wrestling.  It is something that they love and will continue to do as long as there is a league in which to do so, and perhaps even without one.  For now, UCW harnesses that passion.

History

In the early days of Baldwin-Whitehall backyard wrestling (over six years ago), there were two dominant leagues: Ryan Palastro's Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW) [then known as the Elite Wrestling Federation (EWF)] and Dustin Hesse's No Name Wrestling (NNW).  UCW events were held in the UCW Arena in Mr. Palastro's house in Baldwin Township, PA.  NNW events were held in some empty baseball field near Mr. Hesse's house in Baldwin Borough, PA.  While UCW had the obvious dominance in talent, professionalism, presentation, participation, and interest, there were still a few potential UCW superstars in NNW that Mr. Palastro was interested in.  Therefore, he pursued them and was able to get them to jump ship from NNW to UCW, thus causing NNW to lose most of its talent and fold soon after.  So, Wild Bill (retired), the Big Assman (now Badass Bob Healy), and the Corporate Icon (now Fear) joined the many historic characters already in UCW, such as Shabadoo (retired), Mr. Twister (retired), the Magic Man (retired), Electric Head (retired), Gangsta-T (active), the Creeper (shirtinated), Belmont (retired), Sniper (deceased), IceMan (deceased), the Viper (retired), Matt Sarver (retired), PLoR (retired), Talon (active), and Ironman (active).  UCW would then rule for several, action-packed years, until its dark days...

UCW ARENA

Those dark days, actually just one day, was an event held at Jon Mackewich's house in some trashy apartment complex in Baldwin Borough, PA.  After the event, if you even want to call it that, league moral went way down and caused a more than brief hiatus.  This hiatus continued until its return. (Note: We wouldn't dare put a picture of this piece of garbage on here.)

UCW's triumphant return February 25, 2002 at UCW's current arena, the Bobitorium (in Robert Healy, III's house in Baldwin Township, PA), was a night not soon to be forgotten.  Most of the old superstars were there along with a few new living legends.  UCW was then and is now back in full force!!!
